The skirt is set flat on the front then cartridge pleated. The skirt opens in the back. I used cotton
fringe on the bottom of the skirt to protect the hem.

| As with the majority of
my gowns, I based the bodice on the pattern seen in Arnold’s “Patterns
of Fashion” It laces up the sides. The shoulders of the bodice have puffs
of fabric caught with jeweled buttons.
