I really like the idea
of the tube sleeve framed by the dropoversleeve in the same fabric and
decoration. Although it require much extra work, the effect was well worth
the trouble. I used hook and eyes to attach the undersleeve to the bodice
and used metal buttons to attach the drop sleeves to cloth loops sewn on
the armhole of the bodice. I edged the entire sleeve with 8mm ivory pearls.
I inset the cotton fringe on the bottom of the sleeve to protect the fabric
and the pearls.
