     The gown worn in the portrait of Eleanor of Toledo was the inspiration for my gown.   I also used the example found in Arnold's
     There are 5 strips of fabric on each sleeve. I stitched matching gold cord on the edges after lining them in cotton. The strips are stitched on to a band that hooks onto the bodice.
